Funeral Service for George Jacobs, age 86, of Logan, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Emeus Baptist Church with Adam Stuckey and G.T. Robertson officiating; interment in Emeus Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jacobs passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Cullman Regional. He was born August 6, 1932, to Thomas Perry and Allie Beatrice Young Jacobs.

Mr. Jacobs was a member of the Air Force (1955-1958) and served in England. He was ordained as a deacon on April 30, 1972, and has served since. He also served as song director for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harvey Jacobs, Hoyt Jacobs, Milton Jacobs, Juno Jacobs, and Buck Jacobs; sisters, LaBell Taylor, Vernell Baker, Rusty Gable, and Mamie Wilcutt.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby Jean Jacobs; daughter, Ronda (Devern) Stuckey grandchildren, Laura DeLamont and Adam (Jessica) Stuckey; great-grandchildren, Madison Delamont and Memphis DeLamont, Jessica Stuckey and Benjamin Stuckey; stepgrandchildren, Abby Hamm, Allie Hamm, and Aubrey Hamm; and sister, Lorell Powell.

Pallbearers are Calvin Yoder, Bobbie Joe Hinkle, Gene Rusk, Brandon Aderhold, Joc Baker, and Gene Sullins.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
