Mr. Law was a graduate of Lerona High School and the Concord Normal School at Athens. He taught school for a few years at Indian Meadows near Lerona. Mr. Law was the general foreman and sawyer for Giles French’s Saw Mills for many years and retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways as a mechanic with 10 years of service. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church on the New Hope Road in Princeton.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ruth Goodall Law; three sons, William T. “W.T.” Law of Florahome, Fla., Jimmie Law of San Antonio, Texas and Prince Eugene Law of Bluefield; two daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Dixie) Sisk and Mrs. David (Sandra) Bolton, both of Princeton; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Goodall of Princeton; a brother, J.B. Law of Princeton; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bums Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton with Rev. John King officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Wildwood Mausoleum, Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton. Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
