Edwin M. Decker, 75, of 3605 Cty. Trk. Hwy. D. Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, July 13, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Alfred Klumb will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Decker was born Aug. 31, 1906, in the Town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, son of the late Matt and Annie Karbon Decker. He was educated at Town of Kossuth Schools, and was a lifelong resident of Manitowoc County. He married Lila Mae Juedes, June 10, 1953, at Manitowoc. He was employed with Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for over 40 years, retiring in 1972. Mr. Becker was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of V.F.W. Otto Oas Post No. 659.
Survivors include his wife, Lila Mae; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis and Karen Decker of Route 1, Whitelaw, Rickey Decker and Jerry Decker at home; a daughter, Lori Mae at home; two brothers, George of Manitowoc, and Roman of Two Rivers; six sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Lillian) Pech and Mrs. Victor (Rose) Skarvan of Route 1, Whitelaw, Mrs. Ed (Annie) Kubsch of Manitowoc, Mrs. Louis (Mildred) Doubek of Route 1, Two Rivers, Mrs. Elsie Lyons and Mrs. Alois (Grace) Hartman of Branch, his mother-in-law, Mrs. Elsie Juedes of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Ninth Street Chapel, Manitowoc, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday until the time of services.
