Walter F. Eis, age 86, 5612 Johnston Drive, Two Rivers, died early this Monday morning October 25, 1993, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital.
He was born January 10, 1907, in the Town of Two Rivers, son of the late Julius and Martha Benzinger Eis. He was married on June 10, 1933 to Josephine Redeker at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mishicot. She preceded him in death on June 11, 1977. Walter farmed, worked at the Mirro Corporation for eight years. He was employed with Eis Structure Movers, also did field tiling with his brother Oscar. He enjoyed hunting and never missed deer season.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack and Linda Eis, Two Rivers, Charles of Route 2, Two Rivers; four daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ann La Cross of Two Rivers, Marlene and Harold Erdman, Manitowoc, Carol and Glenn Shedivy and Ethel and Norbert Cherney, both of Two Rivers; a brother Frank Eis of Two Rivers; a sister Mrs. Esther Wegner, Denmark; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Mrs. Anna (Albert) Johannes, Mrs. Harriet Kirkwood, Mrs. Marie (Harvey) Eis, Mrs, Betty (Elmer) Eis all of Mishicot, Mrs. Bernice Gibeault, Mishicot, brothers-in-law, Arvin (Mildred) Redeker, Kenneth. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot. Rev. John Neuser will officiate. Burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials to the Heart Fund Association would be appreciated.
