Samuel Singleton, Who Died Tuesday, Is Buried Here
     Obsequies* were held from the Goldman-Waters Chapel this morning at 11 o’clock for Samuel O. Singleton, 80, retired farmer, who died at his home at 206 West Third Street at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday following a lingering illness.
     Paul Stevens, minister of the Church of Christ, officiated and interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
     Mr. Singleton was born at Memphis, Tenn., on May 19, 1860**, a son of the late John and Angelina Burkhart Singleton. He has been residing in Victoria County for the past nine years.
     Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Nora Skipper Singleton.
