The son of the late Lee and Josephine La Belle was born in Laona on May 21, 1915.
He married the former Corlyn Lyman Nov. 24, 1939. The couple lived in Sturgeon Bay , until 1945 when they moved to Green Bay.
Mr. La Belle was employed by Wisconsin Public Service Pulliam Plant for 31 years, retiring in June, 1980, as a Fireman's Helper Class C. He greatly enjoyed rose and vegetable gardening, wildlife and the great outdoors. He was a member of the Wisconsin Public Service Quarter Century Club.
Survivors include his wife Corlyn; one daughter, Corlyn La Belle, Green Bay; one son, Craig La Belle, at home; six grandchildren, Christopher, David, Corlyn, Rebekeh, Sarah and Jesica Wig-man, Green Bay; one sister, Mrs. Irene Pelkey, Green Bay; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Peters, and one brother, Lloyd La Belle.
Friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., from 3 to 9 p.m Thursday and prior to the funeral on Friday. Funeral Friday 11 a.m. at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
