Peter Kovner Schubert Jr., 79, of Honolulu, owner of Schubert Industries and Waffles of Hawaii, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu.

He is survived by wife Verna H.; sons Byron and Peter III; daughters Noralynn Schubert, Gretchen LeGalley, Wendee Van Gieson, Maria Bray and Virna Castanera; brother Wayne; sister Kathleen Luich; 19 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Service: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
