Mrs. Elam died Monday at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. She was born Oct. 18, 1899, in Denton County, Texas.
A retired salesperson for Montgomery Ward department stores, Mrs. Elam was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church in Grand Prairie.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Elam of Grand Prairie; two daughters, Gloria Murphy of Ben Wheeler and Betty Carlton of Arlington; three brothers, Cratus Ellis of Dallas, Earl Ellis and Arnold Ellis of Royce City; two sisters, Ester Perkins of Mesquite, and Gladys Davis of Dallas; one daughter-in-law, Faye Franklin of Irving; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
