M- Ellen Jordan Rutledge∼Robert was born May 10, 1926 in Chicago, Ill., the son of Edward and Ellen Jordan Rutledge.
Robert was the husband of the former late Helen Logue Mansuy who passed in 2005, and the former late Violet Faye Boyd who passed in 1980.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Robert was a plant manager for Schnadig Furniture Corporation of Montoursville and after 27 years of service retired in 1995.
He loved to build model ships, enjoyed oil painting and working in his woodshop.
Robert was a very supportive father and grandfather by encouraging his grandchildren's education and activities.
Robert J. Rutledge, 84, of Williamsport, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Gatehouse with family by his side.
Robert is survived by a son, Peter J. (Mary) Rutledge of Mount Holly, N.C., a daughter, Jane A. Rutledge of Estes Park, Colo.; seven step-children; Camille Mansuy of Williamsport, Michele Farver of Napa, Calif., Suzanne Hopple of Mechanicsburg, Jacqueline Perchinski of Williamsport, Francine Mansuy of Baltimore, Md., M. Michael Mansuy of Napa, Calif., Kathryn O'Connor of Wilmington, Del., three grandchildren, Lane Rutledge, Catherine Rutledge, Kristen Rutledge; nine step-grandchildren, Kathryn Creason, Kelly Huck, Matthew Farver, Marna Farver, Sarah Talbert, Molly Perchinski, Jacqueline Mansuy, Madeline O'Connor, Muriel O'Connor and a sister Kay.
He was predeceased by his two wives, a son William E. Rutledge in 2007, and by three brothers.
