Edward L. Francl, age 60 of 7032 Cty. Truck Hwy T., Whitelaw, died Friday, October 8, 1993, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, October 11, 1993, at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating the services will be the Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. with burial to follow at the Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
He was born October 31, 1932, in Langland County, son of George and Lillian Dopita Francl. He attended Newton Township schools and was a graduate of the Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1951, then serving with the United States Air Force from 1952 and 1956, in Japan and the Far East. Mr. Francl then attended the DeVry Institute of Technology, and the UW Manitowoc County Center. He married the former Carol Chasensky in March, 1971, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in October of 1980. Mr. Francl was employed with the Kelvinator Commercial Products of Manitowoc as an electrician by trade for 19 years. He was a member of the Manitowoc Gun Cub, Manitowoc Rifle and Pistol Club, life member of the NRA, the Isaac Walton League, various sporting and community organizations.
Survivor include his two sons, Edward J. Francl of Carol Stream, Ill., Robert L. Francl of Superior; his parents, George and Lillian Francl of Clover; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Mary Anne Francl of Manitowoc; a mother-in-law, Virginia Chasensky, Newton; nieces and nephews, Jim, Mary Lynn, Julie Ann, and Dave; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Ann Chasensky, and his grandparents.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home this Sunday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. by Rev. Roman Zbieranski.
He was a wonderful father and a loving and caring person to everyone who knew him. His death is a great loss and he will be missed dearly.
