SHIRLEY RAE PICKARD passed away June 9, 2006 in Houston, Texas. A native of Fairbury, Nebraska, Shirley has resided in Houston for the past 50 years. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband and lifelong companion of 59 years, Calvin Pickard; their two children, Paula Ellis and husband Mike, Jeff Pickard and wife Jeanne; their two beloved greyhounds, Zeke & Phoenix. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Miller Funeral Home, 7723 Beechnut in Houston. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Greyhound Pets of America / Houston; PO Box 741176; Houston, TX 77274.
