HORACE G. CHRISTIAN

Horace G. Christian, 82, of 4227 York St., New Boston, died at 12:20 a.m. today at Smith-Everett Hospital. He was a retired employee of Wheeling Steel Corp. here.

Born in Rowan County, Ky., he was a son of Robert and Leeh Short Christian. He was married in August 1904 at Olive Hill, Ky., to Sarah Steagall, who survives.

He also leaves a son, Cecil, 4229 York St.; a daughter, Mrs. Eliza Steagall, Enterprise, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, John and Dave Christian, Morehead, Ky.; and two sisters, Mrs. Cordelia Sparkman and Mrs. Ann Eldridge, also of Morehead.

His parents, three brothers, two sisters, and three daughters preceded him in death.

The body is at Sowards Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 tonight. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Owen J. Croy officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
