Clyde Wyndell Little

Clyde passed away Friday at Mullican Care Center after suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. He was born July 12, 1922 in the Edhube Community south of Bonham, Texas the son of James and Pearl Stewart Little who were share croppers in Fannin County. He attended schools throughout Fannin County spending the most time in the Dodd City Schools. He entered the U.S. Army in 1942 during WWII serving as a Medic in the South Pacific where he was awarded the Bronze Star, leaving the service as a Staff Sergeant. He used his G.I. Bill to attend Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science graduating in 1947 in the Loudermilk Class. He worked at Wise and Earnheart Funeral Home before he and Mary Alice and Vernon and Jacqueline Mullican built Mullican-Little Funeral Home in 1963. He received his 50 years service award in 1998 from the Texas Funeral Directors Association serving a profession he loved with a passion.

On December 1, 1947 he married Mary Alice Herd in Bonham, Texas. After her death he married Louise Owens Wrenn on June 4, 1994 in Savoy, Texas. He was a member of the Savoy Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Savoy Church of Christ conducted by Mr. Charles Wrenn, John O'Neal, and Rev. Houston Garner. Interment will be in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/Savoy.

Clyde is survived by his wife Louise, his son Mike and his wife Tammy of Sulphur Springs, his son Larry and his wife Karla of Bells; Louise's son Charles Wrenn and his wife Brenda of Leonard; his grandsons, Brett and Jentry Little and their son Cash, Bryan and Amber Little and their daughter Jaycee, Bradlee Little, and Grant and Kasey Little and their daughter Avery Alice; Candice and Mitch Self; Louise's granddaughter Angela Sadler and her husband Jon and their children Brenley and Blaine and grandson Scott Wrenn.

Pallbearers will be Brett, Bryan, Bradlee, and Grant Little, Jon Sadler, and Scott Wrenn. Honorary pallbearers will be Orville Woodson, Harry Elk, Jack Pritchard, Sam Devault, and C.W. Bond.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Supporters of Bells Youth, P.O. Box 7, Bells, TX 75414 or Savoy Ag Boosters, 302 W. Hayes, Savoy, Texas 75479 or the donor's favorite charity.
