Frances Lee Gatlin Adams passed away at home on October 13, 2015, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer on September 9, 2015.
She was born February 11, 1942, to Clifton Tyne Gatlin and Susie Merle Burns Green in Bogue Chitto, MS, where she grew up.
She was an active member of the United Pentecostal Church of Hurley, MS for 24 years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Clifton Gatlin in 1979 and her mother Susie Green in 1994. Her husband John Adams in 1980, and a brother Jerry Gatlin in the Vietnam War, and a granddaughter Amanda Marie Adams 2010.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two sons, Vance (Darlene) Adams of Gulfport, MS, and Johnny Pfeiffer of Lucedale, MS; two daughters, Tina Ford and Gena (Jerome)Davis of Lucedale, MS.
Twelve grandchildren; Michelle Knox of McComb, MS, Jamie Lauve of New Orleans, La, April Allen and Mandy Ervins both of Gulfport, MS, Roxie Adams, Angel Taylor, Jared Ford, Jessica
Calderon, Brian Pfeiffer, Jazmine Lomax all of Lucedale, MS, Monique Triplett of Fairhope, Al, April Pfeiffer of Moore, OK. Twenty three great grandchildren. She has four sisters;
Elizabeth Avery and Betty Hall of Lucedale, MS and Carol Harris of Michigan and Delilah Hayes of Brookhaven, MS: two brothers Ronnie Givens of Bogue Chitto, MS and Terry Gatlin
of Denim Springs, La. and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday October 15, 2015, 6pm – 9pm at the First United Pentecostal Church 8701 Hwy 614, Hurley, MS.
Funeral will be Friday October 16, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the First United Pentecostal Church 8701 Hwy 614, Hurley, MS.
