Byron worked as a Slot Technician at the Prairie Winds Casino, Police Officer for OST Public Safety, and a Ranch Hand at Quinn Cow Company.
Byron was a traditional dancer in his younger years and loved playing his X-Box 360. Anyone that knew Byron knew he had a love for his cats and working at the Quinn Cow Company where he had a special connection with cows. Byron knew Connie and Rueben for many years and always had a special place in his heart for them.
Byron was a good-hearted person, loved everyone, and was very friendly. No one was a stranger to him because he would greet them with a friendly hand shake and be more than willing to help you in any way he could. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, three brothers, two Aunts, one Uncle, and three Nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Catherine and Norman Woonsock, Annie (Kills Crow) Afraid of Bear, and George Afraid of Bear Sr; Uncles: Ernest Afraid of Bear Sr., Larue Joe Afraid of Bear, Steven Jacob Afraid of Bear, Richard Afraid of Bear, Francis Afraid of Bear, Robert Gunn Afraid of Bear; Aunt: Nelda Woonsock.
