Clarence F. "Clary" Poklinkoski, age 89 formerly of 1414 South 20th Street, Manitowoc, died early Sunday morning, August 2, 2015 at Laurel Grove Assisted Living with his loving family at his side.

Clarence was born on May 13, 1926 in Manitowoc, son of the late Anton and Rose (Pozorski) Poklinkoski. He grew up in Manitowoc and attended local schools. Clarence was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII in the European Theatre from October 26, 1944 until August 10, 1946. On September 2, 1950 Clarence was married to Bette Namz in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on October 7, 1994. Clarence worked in the Manitowoc Shipyards and retired after 36 years from Anheuser-Busch in 1990. He was a member of the Maltsters Union #75 and a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Clarence was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting, big band era music and television westerns.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Clary (Judy) Poklinkoski, Naples, FL; one granddaughter: Amy Poklinkoski, Nashville, TN; one brother: Anton Poklinkoski, Newtonburg; one sister: Alvina Wagner, Manitowoc, one niece, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Anton and Rose Poklinkoski; his wife: Bette Poklinkoski; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Edward Poklinkoski; Mathew (Ruth) Poklinkoski; Adeline Poklinkoski; two sister and two brothers-in-law: Ann (Clarence) Shimek; Al Wagner.

Private burial took place at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc. The Jens Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc assisted the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com
