Odell was retired from the U.S. Army serving for 22 years in food service. He was later employed at McDonalds in food service, Allied Concrete, Martha Jefferson Hospital in food service, Ramada Inn, the Moose Lodge as club manager, the Elks Lodge, Quick Pick Convenience Store and Aunt Sarah’s Pancake House. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Shisler and husband Barry, Barbara Codwise and husband Bruce; one granddaughter, Jamie Nuckols and husband Hudson; four great-grandchildren, Brianna, Christian, Julia and Joshua; one son, Kenneth Odell Dunn; sisters, Jean Dudley, Cora Horne, Athalene Goolsby, and Tiny Goolsby.
