Elaine (Tikalsky) Stueber, age 82, longtime Whitelaw resident and more recently a resident of Felician Village, Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay.

Elaine was born on August 29, 1935 in Brillion, daughter of the late Ed and Lucy Tikalsky. She married Al Stueber, the love of her life at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw on September 3, 1955. Elaine and Al spent the next 49 years together, raising a family, building a successful business and taking care of each other in good times and bad. Al preceded Elaine in death in 2004. Elaine's first job out of high school was in the office at the Brillion Iron Works. After getting married and moving to Whitelaw, Elaine served as the Village Clerk for many years. She also used her accounting skills to help her husband, Al, with the bookkeeping at the Whitelaw Sausage Company. By far, her favorite career and greatest passion was as an antiques dealer and collector which she pursued with unbridled enthusiasm for over 50 years.
Elaine had a strong Catholic faith and was a lifelong member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Whitelaw where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, son and grandson.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tim Helmick; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Patti Stueber; daughter-in-law and husband, Jane and Mike Mueller; three grandchildren, Kyle, Amanda and Luke; four great grandchildren, Luci, Elle, Morgan and Simon; special nieces and nephews, valued cousins and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy (Cummings) Tikalsky and father, Edward Tikalsky; her brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Ardys Tikalsky; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Laverne Stueber; her husband, Alvin Stueber, her oldest son, Tom and her grandson, Tom Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 10 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw form 9:30 am Tuesday until 10:45 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin or the charity of your choice.
