Mr. Eugene Albert Barcel, 89, of Franklin passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019.
Born in Minneapolis, MN, he was the son of the late Edward Barcel and Dorothy Brown Barcel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Barcel.
Gene was a US Navy veteran and owned and operated Colonial Florist with his partner Bruce for 23 years.
He is survived by his life partner of 40 years, Bruce Stoudt; brother, Jerry Barcel of Hopkins, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
A private service was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
