Harold ""Butch"" Gilbert, age 56, of 1406 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, entered eternal rest Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Klein officiating. Cremation will have taken place with burial of the cremains to follow at Knollwood Cemetery.
Butch was born Aug. 1, 1949, in Two Rivers. He was the son of the late Adolph and Ruth Johnson Gilbert. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, with the class of 1967. He then continued his education at Lakeshore Technical College. Butch was employed at Lakeside Packing for many years. On May 8, 1992, he married Judith Harper at St. John's United Church of Christ in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death May 10, 2004. He enjoyed NASCAR racing along with other types of auto racing and was an avid Green Bay Packer football fan. Butch also enjoyed almost all other types of sporting events.
He is survived by his son: Craig (Rhonda) Diehm, DePere; one daughter: Tresa Gilbert, Sturgeon Bay; one stepson: Russell ""Buddy"" (Michelle) Farr, Jr., Manitowoc; five stepdaughters: Theresa (Edward) Howard, Manitowoc; Bridgette Farr and significant other Jack R. Siever, Elkhart Lake; Mary Lou (Randy) Peters, Larrabee; Chrissy (Brian) Scheffler, Newton; Renee (Jason) Riha, Manitowoc; two brothers: Bill (Pat) Gilbert, Two Rivers; Norris (Joan) Gilbert, Two Rivers; one sister: Diana (Clarence) Seeley, Two Rivers; 17 grandchildren; a special friend: Ron Hassemer, DePere; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends surviving. He was preceded in death by his wife: Judith in 2004; two grandchildren; and four brothers.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 North Water St., Manitowoc, on Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
