Owen A. Hackelberg, 70, of 310 McKinley St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening at his residence.
Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Friday in Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. George Knudson will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Hackelberg was born Oct. 5, 1908 in Taylor, Wis., son of the late Erling and Tilla Olson Hackelberg. He attended schools in Drummond, Wis., and following his education was employed as a truck driver for Leicht Transfer for a number of years. He later farmed in Black Creek for 11 years prior to coming to Two Rivers, where he was employed with Hamilton Mfg. Co. in the machine shop, retiring in 1969. He married Margaret Nellis Nov. 24, 1932 in Oconto.
Survivors include his wife, three sons and daughters-in-law, Armon and Linda and Ricky and Christa of Manitowoc, and Clyde and Karen of DePere; three daughters and sons-in-law, Louis and Gene Brunette of Crivitz, Candace and Fran Mocco of Green Bay and Joy and Walter Homeyer of Manitowoc; a brother, Tilford Hackelberg and a sister, Mrs. Clifford (Anna) Burbey of Green Bay and 14 grandchildren. A son and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Jens Funeral Home 5 pm to 9 pm Thursday and Friday until the time of service.
