WONNIE MAE HAESE CHOUINARD

Wonnie Mae (Haese) Chouinard, age 84, a former Manitowoc resident, died on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at Heartwood Homes, Menasha.

She was born on Dec. 5, 1922, in Greensboro, N.C., daughter of the late Ernest and Cornelia (Jones) Murray. On Dec. 8, 1943, she married Arthur G. Haese in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1964. She later married Elmer Chouinard on July 2, 1983, in Menasha. Wonnie dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her husband: Elmer Chouinard, Menasha; two sons and daughters-in-law: Arthur and Helen Haese, Two Rivers; and Denis and Darlene Haese, Chilton; five daughters and four sons-in-law: Nancy and Donald Moddie, Manitowoc; Jean and Steven Armstrong, Whitelaw; Cynthia Wallander, Manitowoc; Judy and Mark Seifert, Menasha; and Sandra and Dan Evers, Little Chute; 26 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law: Linnie and Jim Rush, Greensboror, N.X.; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Floyd and Dot Murray, Greensboro, N.C.; and Paul and Gloria Murray, High Point, N.C.; and a sister-in-law: Nell Murray, Liberty, N.C. Also surviving are stepsons and stepdaughters: Francis Chouinard, Oshkosh; Carol Chouinard, Menasha; Debra and Harry Gast, Menasha; Denis and Lori Chouinard, Manitowoc; and Jill and Sanford Shadle, California. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Gloria; a grandson: Donald Mark Moddie; and three brothers: Arnold, Silas and William Murray.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007.

Private family services will be held on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc.
