Hans H. Hansen, 77, of 1500 N. 3rd St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, May 19, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Harvey will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Hansen was born Nov. 5, 1904, at Two Rivers, son of the late Hans C. and Jessie Derby Hansen. He grew up and was educated at Two Rivers. He married Winifred M. Day, Oct. 5, 1929, at Two Rivers. The couple moved to Manitowoc in 1945. Mr. Hansen was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company for 25 years and then at Manitowoc Engineering Company for 30 years, retiring in 1971. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc Eagle Aerie 706, and a retired member of Machinists Union Clipper City Lodge Local 516. He served with Two Rivers Coast Guard Reserve from 1941 to 1945.

Survivors include his wife, Winifred; five sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick and LaVerne Hansen of Two Rivers, Ronald and Myrna Hansen of Neenah, Richard and Doris Hansen of Manitowoc, Gerald and Diane Hansen of Cleveland, and Leonard and Barbara Hansen of Neenah; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Bruno Bertucci of Elmwood Park, Ill.; two brothers, Donald Hansen of Gleason, Wis., and Albert Hansen of Two Rivers; four sisters, Mrs. Cecile Spoerl of Manitowoc, Mrs. Erwin (Eunice) Magilsky of Racine, Mrs. Ernestine Gracyzkowski of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Ralph (Luella) Klinkenberg of Two Rivers; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger, and a sister, Thyra Jensen.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday until 1 p.m.

Hans Hanson Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hanson, Lincoln Street and Miss Irene Rhode, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rhode, Eighteenth Street were united in marriage on Wednesday morning at St. Luke's parsonage. Rev. C.V. Hugo performed the ceremony in the presence of Miss Dorothy Rhode,, a sister of the bride and Albert Rippel. After the ceremony a reception was held at the hoe of the bride's parents and dinner and supper was served, covers laid for 40 friends and relatives of the couple. The couple departed in the afternoon on a trip to the central part of the state. Upon their return here they will reside on Eighteenth Street. Both the bride and groom are estimable young people employed in the aluminum industry.
