Mr. Jimmy Benjamin Earles, age 83, of McDonough, GA and formerly of Lanett, AL, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2018 at Sacred Journey Hospice Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents Comer Earles, Sr. and Alma Bryant; sister Nadine; and brother Comer Earles, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Betty Hammock Earles; daughters Debbie Sanders of Valley, AL; Vicki Hensel (Bob) of McDonough, GA; and Terri Earles of Alabama; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Mr. Earles was a 30-year United States Navy veteran and served during the Korean War. After retiring from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Mr. Earles continued his legacy of service by volunteering for more than ten years in a local hospital setting.
A military graveside service was held on Friday, January 25 at 1:00 pm at Eastlawn Memorial Park located at 640 McGarity Road, McDonough, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Mr. Earles' name to the Bob Woodruff Foundation for Veterans.
