Lillie Mae Thompson was born on February 26, 1931, in Headland Alabama to the late Rev. Roland and Rosa Lee Murphy. Lillie was part of an organization called the Eastern Star for over 20 years. She enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. Lillie Mae received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a good and faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Florala Alabama. She went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 13, 2019.

Lillie leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband of 55 years, who preceded her in death and together they had five children. Deloris Richardson, Gwen Davenport, Sandra (Jerome) Hunter, Marion (Kaunda) Thompson, and Brian Thompson.

Lille Mae also leaves to cherish her memory four loving sisters, Julia Rogers, Regina Mays, Rosetta Lewis. One brother James (Ida) Murphy. One of her sisters preceded her in death, Jeanette Judson. She leaves to cherish her memory 14 grandchildren and host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral : 11:00 AM Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Evans Funeral Home Florala, Alabama with Willie Williams officiating.

Visitation : 6-8:00 pm Friday, May 17, 2019, at Evans Funeral Home
