IMOGENE R. HOEFFNER
(1928 - 2017)

Imogene R. Hoeffner, 89 was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 8, 2017.

She was born on July 26, 1928 in Two Rivers, WI to the late Walter and Alma Tabbert. She was united in marriage to the late Delmar Hoeffner on October 18, 1952 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, WI with Imogene's brother, the Reverend Frederick Tabbert officiating.

In addition to raising her five children she worked for many years as Church secretary at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She then went on to work for Dr. Jack Anderson Sr. as an office assistant until her retirement. She was also very involved with St. Paul's Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary Society.

After Del's retirement from Thrivent they moved to White Bear Lake, MN for 6 years before returning to Appleton. Imogene and Del enjoyed many winters at their condo in Gulf Shores, AL.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Mark (Rosie), Appleton; Nancy (Scott) MacGilvray, Greenville, NC; James (Sue), Vancouver, WA; David (Rebecca), Tyler, TX; Ruth (Tom) Marquardt, Appleton; Grandchildren Nathan, Katie, Steven, Michael ( Katie), Colleen, Ross, Eric, Emily (Micah), Andrew (Amanda), Jonathan and Zachary. In addition she is survived by 1 great grandchild with a second due in October. She experienced the joy of meeting her first great grandson Bryant earlier this year. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and Del's brother, Lloyd Hoeffner. Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Delmar, two sisters and their spouses- Margaret Rathbun (Harold) and Elizabeth Ziesemer (Rev. Richard), and a brother and his wife, Rev. Frederick (Arlene) Tabbert.

A funeral and committal service will be held on Monday, September 18th at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 302 N. Morrison St., Appleton with the Rev. Kenneth Frey officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The burial will be Tuesday, September 19th at Knollwood Memorial Park, Manitowoc, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, St. Paul Lutheran Child Care and Fox Valley Lutheran Homes have been established.
