Arie C. Balderson

Arie Ann Cheuvront Balderson, 94, died Tuesday at the Creel Memorial Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Born at Sandyville, she is the daughter of the late Martin and Bedellia Archer Cheuvront. She was a member of the Belpre Heights United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Dean Welch, Mrs. Albert Gearhart, and Mrs. Hawlie Hartley, all of Belpre, and Mrs. Russell Vannoy, Parkersburg; one son, Dale Balderson, Veteran's Hospital, Chillicothe, O.; one sister Amanda Davis, Columbus, O.; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Watson B. Balderson, and two sons.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Spencer Funeral Home, Belpre, with the Rev. Francis Huber officiating. Burial will be in Rockland Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. today.
