James served his country during World War II, The Korean War, and The Vietnam war as a Chaplain in the U.S. Army. At age 98 he received the FL Governor’s Veterans Service Award, at age 100 he received the Congressional Gold Medal. James was the minister of The United Church of Christ, Melbourne, FL for many years. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, The Retired Officers Association, The Canaveral Mineral and Gem Society, The Good Sam Club. James was predeceased by his wife Edna Allan, son Thomas Allan, and granddaughter Stacy Gran. The memorial service was Saturday, May 4th at Riviera United Church of Christ, Palm Bay, FL.
