Brothers Martin and Peter Kocher came from Holtzenhausen, Germany. Martin arriving in Pennsylvania Sep. 26, 1837 and settled in Heidelberg Twp., Lehigh Co., PA. Then Peter arrived a year later Oct. 23,1738 and brought with him his 8 year old son, Michael. His wife had died in Germany. Peter then remarried in 1739 to Elisabetha. They traveled to the Hoelzenhausen/Dillenberg area, Germany and traveled from there to Rotterdam, where they boarded the Ship Bilander Thistle to Philadelphia, PA - October 28, 1738.
