Lester Franklin Fallwell, age 89, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a long-time resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma. Lester was born November 15, 1929 in Harrah, Oklahoma. He was the fourth of nine children born to Cecil E.C. Fallwell and Hester Hazel (Sims) Fallwell.

As a young teenager, near the end of World War II, Lester enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Waller Air Force Base in northern Trinidad. Waller Air Force Base is a former United States Army Air Forces World War II air base. The island of Trinidad lies about seven miles off the northeastern coast of Venezuela and sits on the continental shelf of South America.

Lester followed in the footsteps of his dad and became an expert auto mechanic. He was employed at Fred Jones Ford in Oklahoma City for about 25 years where he worked as a diesel truck mechanic and later became the assistant manager of the truck service department. He retired from there in about 1999. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Everyone loved Lester and he was always ready and willing to work on your automobile when you needed a mechanic.

Lester is survived by four sons: Lester Thomas Fallwell, Michael David Fallwell, Richard Hartrick and wife Michelle; and James Brown; two daughters: Tricia Nell Nelon, Carolyn Elaine Aragon and husband Andrew; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters: Betty Ruth Bennett and Retha Lavonne Hendrix of Oklahoma City, and Mary Ellen Henderson and husband Kenneth of Eufaula, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Wilma Jean (Hodgins) Fallwell; three brothers: Leander Cecil Fallwell, James Linvel Fallwell, and Boyd Eugene Fallwell; two sisters: Rowena Hazel Geurin and Mildred Ella Gabriel; and his first wife, Virginia Gaynell (Walker) Fallwell.

A Celebration of Life service was held for him on Thursday, May 23rd, at Inspiring Word Ministry in Del City, Oklahoma, with Pastor Willy Bell officiating. Pallbearers were: Tom Fallwell, David Fallwell, Stewart Nelon, Jacob Nelon, Andy Aragon, and Gary Bennett.

He was laid to rest next to his loving wife, Wilma, at the Sunny Lane Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, Oklahoma.

GOD'S GARDEN
By Melissa Shreve

God looked around his garden and found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the Earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest,
With the help of his angels they flew you to your heavenly place.

God's garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew you were suffering, he knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough and the hills to hard to climb,
He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be Thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
