Herbert L. Benson, 76, of 5217 W. 72nd, Prairie Village, died Friday at the home of his sister-in-law in Assaria, Kan. He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. He was a retired accountant for the Stowe Hardware Company. Mr. Benson was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was the church treasurer. He was a member of the Scandinavian Club and the Ambassador Club. Mr. Benson was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Hospital Auxiliary. He leaves his wife Mrs. Freda Benson of the home; two sons, Donald L. Benson, 11601 Campbell and Herbert L. Benson JR. Houston, Texas, and six grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 pm. Wednesday at the church; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 pm Tuesday at the Muehlabach Chapel. The family suggest contributions to the church.
