Robert “Bob” Scott, Sr, age 78, of Clarksville, MO passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Clarksville, MO. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, MO. A repass will take place at VFW Post 5553 in Bowling Green, MO following services.
He was born on November 22, 1940 in Paynesville, MO to Guy and Oneida Wolfe Scott. He graduated from Clopton High School in 1958. He was married to Carol Laverne Graham on June 4, 1960 in Bowling Green, MO and she preceded him in death on August 13, 2003. In 1966, Bob went to work at Dundee Cement Company near Clarksville, MO as a yard supervisor. Bob retired from Dundee Cement Company in 2000 after 34 years of employment.
Bob is survived by his 2 sons, Robert “Robbie” Scott, Jr and wife Alice of Bowling Green, MO and Rodney Scott and wife Debra of Charlotte, NC, along with his brother, Guy Lynn Scott of Hannibal, MO. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Krista Goodin (Steven) of Louisiana, MO, Aaron Scott of Bowling Green, MO, Kayla Scott of St. Louis, MO, Bryan Scott of Kansas City, MO, Ashlee Scott of Florissant, MO, Spencer Scott of Charlotte, NC and Sydney Scott of Charlotte, NC, along with 4 great grandchildren: Kahliya, Aniyah, Xavier and Aryahna of Louisiana, MO.
Bob was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Carol L. Scott, his parents Guy and Oneida Scott, and his siblings, James Scott in 1992 and Rose Webb in 2016.
Bob was a longtime resident of Clarksville, MO. He enjoyed going to auctions and collecting antiques especially marbles along with attending sporting events.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
