Anne was born Irene but everyone called her Anne.
I remember my nan loved gardening, loved flowers, walking, animals, having pet birds and especially her dog Timmy, who was very old when he died, she also loved the countryside and was very against animal cruelty, was a big supporter to charities.
My nan died peacefully on her birthday sometime in the early hours, she was still in bed. Her birthday cards were still on the mat next to the front door.
I was the last person to speak to my nan and she was fine on the phone.
She died at the age of 73 of heart problems that she and her family didnt know she had.
My nans last wishes were to be buried with her Father William John Waterman Askew as she loved him so much but sadly wasnt meant to be.
