ITHACA - Sarah Christine Corrington, 97, of 610 Spencer Rd., Ithaca, died peacefully on January 1st, 2007. Her love and devotion to her family will never be forgotten and will be painfully missed.Born on April 24th, 1909 in Ithaca, NY, she is survived by her daughter and only child, Ellamae C. Farino of Ithaca, NY; her grandson and his wife, Lou and Micki Farino of Freeville, NY; her granddaughter and her husband, LaRae and Rodney Hulbert of West Danby, NY; four great-grandchildren, Erin (Grant) King of Groton, NY, Kellie (Hulbert) Stepnowski of Ithaca, NY, Eric (Danyel) Farino of Virginia Beach, VA, Ashley (Nate) Hamblin of Greenville, SC; two great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Rylee King of Groton, NY; her beloved 'hound dog', Babie; and several nieces and nephews.Sarah was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, James H. Corrington; her son-in-law of 52 years, Louis E. Farino; her parents, Martin and Eva LaDue; her brothers and sisters, Anna Stevens, Raymond LaDue, Eva Harris, Bea Boyce, Mabel Forman, her twin brother, Martin LaDue, and George LaDue.The family would like to extend a sincere 'thank you' to Drs. Ann and John Costello for their wonderful care and true compassion.Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Bangs Funeral Home with Pastor John Iler officiating. Burial to follow at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, New York. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
