Mrs. Sarah Alice Smiley, 76, Is Taken by Death Near Wichita Saturday
Mrs. Sarah Alice Smiley, 76, died Saturday at her home, two miles north of Wichita on U. S. highway 81, following a short illness. She came here three years ago from Kansas City, Mo.
She was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Dempster, East St Louis, Ill., and Miss Nancy Smiley, of Wichita; a son, W. E. Smiley of Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Edwards, of Independence, Mo., and four brothers, Isaac Edwards, Braddock, Pa., John and William Edwards, both of Kansas City, and James Edwards, of Independence.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:30 p. m. at the Downing mortuary with Rev. Vernon Reffner officiating.
