Malcomb E.'Gene' Everett 82, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away August 29, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. He was born March 26, 1931 in Mercer County, W.Va., a son of the late Irvin A. and Clara E. Lineberry Everett. Gene was retired from the U. S. Army Reserve after 37 years and was retired from Montgomery Wards in sales and manager of the warehouse. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Faith Bible Church in Williamstown. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Iris M. Pennington Everett; one daughter,Drenda Kemp (Mark Steinert) of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, James Everett of Washington, W.Va.; one grandchild, Brittany Kemp, and one great-grandchild, Gavin Cain. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Wendy Everett; one sister, Sarah Mariotti, and one brother, Jacob Everett. Services will be held Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Steve Delay officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Parkersburg, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home
