Bonnie Jean Widmer, 86, passed away on May 22, 2019, after a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 3, 1933, in Grenada, Mississippi, to the late William Coleman and Eugenia Powell Cohea. Bonnie married Floyd C. Widmer in 1953 and moved to Dallas, Texas.

Bonnie loved laughter during her life and always had a twinkle in her eyes when she laughed. She always loved to hear jokes and tell a good one too. She was a strong person and was not afraid of hard work or to state her beliefs.

She was a wonderful person and loved her family deeply. Her friendships lasted a lifetime and she made sure that she stayed in contact with her loved ones. She loved crafts and crochet and was proud that she could make beautiful afghans and baby outfits because everyone appreciated the fact she wanted to take the time to make something by hand.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Widmer, of Plano, TX; sons, James M. Widmer, of Denton, and Christopher C. Widmer, of Garland; grandchildren: Jamey Widmer, of Denton, Jennifer Widmer Cull, of Arlington, TX, Sarah Widmer Ellison, of Yukon, OK, and Christopher M. Widmer, of Corinth, TX; great-grandchildren: Brayden and Keegan Ellison, and Peyton and Pressley Cull.
