Mrs. Dorothy Arline, Age 86 resident of Olustee, Fla. passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL terminating an extended illness. Born in Olustee, FL she was the daughter of the late Mrs. Margaret and Mr. Rufus Cason. She received her education in the public schools and graduated with a degree in elementary education. She retired from the public school in Columbia County in 1998 after having served for 38 years.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Vern Arline (Country) who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dorothy Arline, was a faithful member of Jerusalem Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary, a member of the Missionary Board and was Dean of Congress of Education.
Survivors include 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 sister, 1 brother, 5 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grands, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. (Names withheld)
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Arline will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Jerusalem Baptist Church with Rev. Vern Donaldson, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Olustee Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Jerusalem Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
