Loren J. Klein, age 77, of 2023 Hwy. 310, Two Rivers, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish - St. Luke's site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

Loren was born June 7, 1925 in Two Rivers, son of the late Nicolas and Evelyn Zimmer Klein. He served his country during World War II with the United States Marine Corps from the spring 1943 until 1945. On Feb. 11, 1950 Loren married the former Theresa F. Kuffel in Poland, Wis. She preceded him in death on March 5, 1990. Loren worked as a foreman/supervisor for Mirro Manufacturing Co., from November 1946 until his retirement on July 1, 1987. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Pat Klein, Greg and Naomie Klein, all of Two Rivers; two daughters and one son-0in-law: Sonia Shedlosky, Two Rivers; Lou Ann and Jerry Stodola, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Kevin, Joe, Jennifer, Kimberly, McKensie, Samantha, Whitney and Hailey; one great-grandchild, Trey Allen Kvithyll; four brothers and sisters-in-law: two sisters and one brother-in-law; Loren's special Packer friend, Steve Pohl; and a very special friend and companion, Betty Hanson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Loren was also preceded in death by a son: Jeffery and a brother: Glen.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish - St. Luke's site, Two Rivers, on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002 from 4 pm. until the time of service at 7 p.m.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center is assisting the Klein family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Holy Family Hospice for their care and concern they showed to Loren.
