Claude Everett Byrd was born on October 3, 1880 in Williamson County, Tennessee, the son of John Henry Byrd (1859–1952) and Lula (Goodrum) Byrd (1861–1938).
He was married to Anna May McCampbell (1889–1959), and she was the daughter of Thomas Gowdy McCampbell (1855–1932) and May (Evans) McCampbell (1861–1935).
The supply clerk for the feeble-minded home in Donelson and living in Donelson, he was 71 years old and married when he died on February 1, 1952 at Nashville General Hospital of a bleeding duodenal ulcer. Burial was the next day in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
