Mrs. Catherine S. Caldwell, 72, of 6939 Crandon Av., died yesterday in Birmingham, Ala., while en route home after a vacation in Florida. Surviving are her husband, W. Bruce Caldwell, retired president of the Calument Steel division of Borg-Warner corporation; two daughters, Mrs. S. W. Walker (Jane, Tulsa, OK) and Mrs. R. R. Buell (Jean, Palo Alto, CA); a son, the Rev. E. J. Caldwell (Erie, PA); six grandchildren, two brothers, and two sisters.
