From a Newspaper Article - "'[Charles S. Borden] was the kind of person young people enjoyed having along with them, and for years the Borden home practically was our hangout'....Borden himself also attended Hyde Park High School and was known in the class of [19]01 for his activities. He was the manager of the football team, president of the senior class, president of the glee club, captain of the track team and mayor of the school. He attended Dartmouth College, Hanover, N. H., where he was captain of the track team and starred as a distance runner. He is president of the S.S. Shaw in 1904 and together they had two children and four grand children.
