He was born June 28, 1965 in Chicago Heights, IL, son of William & Mary Ingebretson Diersen. He was a 1983 graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School. Paul later attended and graduated from Spartan School of Aeronotics in Tulsa, Oklahoma specializing as an aeronotics & powerplant mechanic. On May 10, 1997 he married Bonnie Spindler at Bethel United Church of Christ, Ada. For ten years Paul worked in the Gulf of Mexico for Petroleum Helicopters as a technician. The couple moved to Fargo, North Dakota where he worked at Merit Care Hospital as a helicopter technician. From 2001 until February of this year when he became ill, he had been employed at Theda Star Helicopter Service, Neenah as a helicopter technician. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Louis Corners, Louis Corners "Snowbird" snowmobile club and Low Buck Vintage Riders snowmobile club. Paul enjoyed model railroading and snowmobiling.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie, New Holstein one son, Alex, at home, his parents, William & Mary Diersen, Appleton, one sister, Heather Diersen, Appleton, his grandmother, Lucille Ingebretson, New Ulm, MN & his mother-in-law, Marilyn Spindler, rural Kiel. He is further survived by his in-laws: Randy (Val) Spindler, Newton, Larry Spindler, Floyd (Ann) Spindler, Terry (Faye) Spindler, all of Ada, aunts, uncles, other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Lester Spindler.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Louis Corners with the Rev. Ted Olsen officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
