Henry Dirks is Called to Rest Wednesday Night
Kiel – (Special) – Henry Dirks, 78, well-known resident of Louis Corners, passed away Wednesday night at the home of his son, Emil, in Ada where he had been a patient for the past week.

He was born April 7, 1859 in the town of Rhine. On Oct. 6, 1885, he was married to Miss Mary Raquet in the town of Schleswig. The couple located in Louis Corners where Mr. Dirks operated a shoe store for the past 52 years.
His wife preceded him in death Oct. 11, 1933.

Survivors are three children, Mrs. George Schumann of Highland Park, Ill.; Mrs. John Rosenthal of Kiel and Emil of Ada; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one brother, John Dirks of Plymouth. One child died in infancy
and three brothers also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the C. J. Meiselwitz Funeral home in Kiel and at 2 o'clock at the Zion Lutheran church in Louis Corners. The Rev. Harold Grunwald will officiate and interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Friday afternoon until the time of services.
