Edna K. Garlieb, 91, of Moraine Road, Kiel, died Monday morning, Oct. 13, 2003 at her home.

She is the former Edna Thieleke, born Nov. 1, 1911, in the Town of Meeme, daughter of the late Rudolph and Minnie Schneider Thieleke. She attended Louis Corners School. On Sept. 10, 1927, Edna married Edwin Garlieb Sr., in Louis Corners. The couple farmed on the family homestead in the town of Meeme all their lives. Edwin preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1989. Edna was a lifetime member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering dishtowels, puzzles, reading poetry, traveling and cooking.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn (Raymond) Diem of School Hill, Herbert (Trudy) Garlieb of rural Kiel, Edwin Jr. (Betty) Garlieb of rural Kiel and Gary (Pam) Garlieb of West Allis; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and one step great great grandchild. She is further survived by one brother, Melvin (June) Thieleke of Randolph, Wis., sister-in-law, Jane Theileke of Randolph and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, one grandson, sister and brother-in-lsw, Cora and Harry Winkel; and one brother, Allen Thieleke.

Funeral services will be held at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Louis Corners, with the Rev. Ted Olsen officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
