During Emma’s long life, she has been employed by Kingsbury Arsenal making artillery shells during World War II, was Assistant Director of the Miami County Indiana Tuberculosis Office, a quality inspector at AGP Plastics in Peru, and moved to Calhoun in 1994. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Demolay Mother, served as PTA president, a member of Fireman Ladies, a McLean County 4-H Volunteer, and a member of the Christian Faith. Emma enjoyed her family first and foremost. She also enjoyed reading and listening to books, crocheting, knitting, sewing, ceramics, oil painting, cooking, traveling, swimming, dancing, music, and playing both cards and board games.
In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Bud Butler, who died November 21, 1986.
Graveside services will be held at the Chapel of Ever Rest Memorial Park in Logansport, Indiana.
