EMMA EMILIE GUTSCHOW

Mrs. Emma Gutschow, 81, of School Hill, died Sunday at Manitowoc County Hospital after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners, the Rev. Adalbert Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Gutschow was born Aug. 19, 1884, in the Town of Meeme, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lulius (sic) H. Goetesch. She attended the district school and was married to Henry Gutschow May 5, 1908. The couple located on a farm at School Hill, now operated by a son, Norman. The couple farmed until retirement in 1938 and continued living in the township. The couple observed its golden wedding anniversary in May 1958. Mr. Gutschow died in August, 1961. She was a member of Zion Church and its Ladies Aid Society.

Survivors are two sons, Gilbert and Norman, of Rt. 2, Kiel, a stepsister, Mrs. Anna Sonneman, of Colby, Wis., two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
