LEONA M. (WEISKOPF) GUTSCHOW
Mrs. Carl Gutschow, 73, of Route 1, Kiel, Town of Meeme, died Thursday evening in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. The Rev. Adelbert Schultz will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Gutschow, nee Leona Weiskopf was born December 31, 1905 in the Town of Schleswig, daughter of the late Jake and Louise Mattes Weiskopf. She was graduated from Kiel High School. She was married to Carl Gutschow September 3,
1927 in Zion Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Town of Meeme all their married life. Mrs. Gutschow was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid Society of the church and Manitowoc County Homemakers.
Survivors include her husband, Carl; three brothers, Clarence and Elmer of Kiel and Herbert of Sheboygan Falls. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call in Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel after 4 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday and in the church from noon until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
