C. Hansmann, 71, Succumbs After Lingering Illness
Kiel – (Special) – Christian Hansmann, 71, passed away at his farm home in the town of Schleswig near Cedar Lake at ___ {illegible} a.m. today, following an illness of several years.
He was born on the homestead April 30, 1869, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Hansmann and always lived at the farm with the exception of a few years in Howards Grove.
His wife, nee Helena Voss, died March 14, 1940. Survivors are five sons, Hugo, town Herman; Walter, town Schleswig; Arno, town Meeme; Arvin, town Rhine and Theodore, of Plymouth; a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Neumann, town Schleswig; three sisters, Mrs. William Kleinhans, Johnsonville; Mrs. Christ Erbstoeser, Sheboygan; and Mrs. Ida Loos, town Schleswig, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Meiselwitz funeral home, and at ___ {illegible} o'clock at Zion Lutheran church at Louis Corners. Burial will be at the adjoining church cemetery. The Rev. Harold O. Grunwald will officiate.
