Ferdinand J. Heckmann, age 81, passed away in the town of Meeme on Tuesday morning at 11:30 a.m. Mr. Heckmann was born April 13, 1855 in the town of Sheboygan Falls, and on July 9, 1885 he was united in marriage with Maria Lorfeld of the town of Meeme, who preceded him in death April 21, 1927. Mr. Lorfeld has resided in the town of Meeme since 1860, when he arrived here with his parents.
Five children were born of this union, as follows: Mrs. William (Anna) Voigt of Cleveland, Mrs. Otto (Ida) Karstaedt of Newton R. 1, Mrs. Ed. (Lydia) Karstaedt of Newton, Herman Heckmann of the town of Meeme, and William Heckmann of Sheboygan Falls. Twenty grandchildren,
a great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. G. Pollard of Plainfield, Ill. also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon from the home in the town of Meeme at 1:30 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion EvangelicalLutheran church at Louis Corners, with the Rev. Harold O. Grunwald officiating. Burial will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.
